About
Founded in 2012, the Regards Hybrides project is dedicated to fostering the integration, development, and promotion of artistic practices that combine dance and film. Its web platform facilitates the sharing of existing resources in the field of dance-film, while also connecting organizations committed to its advancement. The Rencontres Internationales Regards Hybrides event, held in 2017 and 2019 in collaboration with Tangente, brought together dozens of specialists and artists for a series of sessions dedicated to the interaction between dance and film in the digital age and amid the development of new technologies. Regards Hybrides also offers professional and educational training, as well as support services for artists, presenters, and other stakeholders in the arts community through its specialized team. In 2023, Regards Hybrides will launch its online screendance collection, featuring more than sixty Canadian works, as well as some thirty pieces of exclusive supplementary content (interviews, texts, archives).
